     Mr. Sullivan did his undergraduate work at the University of Missouri at St. Louis and later at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where he graduated with a BA in Sociology.  As part of his undergraduate studies he spent a year in a study abroad program at the Universidad IberoAmericana in Mexico City.  Following graduation he worked in the computer industry with companies such as MicroPro, Pacific Telesis, TOPS and Sun Microsystems.  He later continued his studies at San Jose State University where he received his Masters in Library & Information Science and upon graduation  accepted a position at the  Thomas J. Long Business & Economics Library at UC Berkeley.  Later, he accepted a business reference and instruction position at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and in spring 2000 he joined the SDSU Library as a Business Reference Librarian.  Here at SDSU he provides classes in Business Reference and works with faculty and students in the areas of Management, Marketing and Information & Decision Systems.

   He is a current member of the American Library Association, California Academic & Research Libraries Association and REFORMA (Services to the Spanish speaking and Latino communities).
